Help Needed

Hi everyone,

I am attempting to trace my family tree and my relatives came from Wateringbury.
My grandmother was Laura Isabel Shepherd nee Manser.
Her husband was Frederick G Shepherd.
They had several children and possibly lived somewhere near the old mill?
Maybe I have some connection with the Shepherd pictures already on the site?
Ada, Lily & Doris?
Any info or old photos would be deeply appreciated as I haven't gone back any further than Laura's Dad who was George James Manser born 1883.

Kind regards

Donna

Hi Donna
Doris Huggett (nee Shepherd) was my aunt by marriage. The Shepherds are a side shoot on my family research so I don't have much detail, but there was a Frederick Shepherd brother to Lily and William, all children of Horace Shepherd. William married Ada Bunyard and had children William, Doris and Eileen. Look at a photo of the Wateringbury school class of 1976 in an earlier article on this site, Corin Shippey is daughter of Eileen and niece of Doris.

My great grandfather was Horace Albert Shepherd, Thomas Edward Shepherd my Grandfather was the eldest of 9 children. The story is Horace went to Australia with his six children and my grandad stayed in the UK with Ethel and John. He married Elizabeth Marden who came from Gosport on the Isle of Wight If you wish contact me ( Richard Shepherd) from Crowborough on Facebook. Good luck.
